GalleryNATUREPLANTSBLOSSOMS, LEAVES, TREES raindrops on young Larch needles
prev next
It may sound odd and incongruous, but Larches are deciduous coniferous trees. Seeing the needles turn gold in the fall then start dropping doesn't seem to fit the nature of the plants, but in the spring when the new needles start popping out, they put on quite a show. This one had raindrops beading on the new shoots and some of them did quite a good job of balancing on the tips of the needles.
